Default valve cover gaskets or lube

i was curious if you use a lube type sealant on your valve cover or buy the actual gaskets from honda?

parts 3 and 4.

or is using either really necessary?

Lol, with out those gaskets you will have oil everywhere. You get them cheaper from other places and can also reuse the old ones.

you'll end up with a huge mess if you just use honda bond or something similar

both seals #3 and #4 are Honda on mine, and i don't have any issues whatsoever

As long as the gasket is in decent shape, you can reuse it and apply Hondabond at the corners. If not, I think they run like $14 at a dealership.

its cheaper online, but the price for S&H online your better off going down to your local honda dealer. Of course i mean when your buying one item.
