Default forgot to ask everyone with a ITR... duh

If you are driving around for a while (temp at normal) and if you nail it up to 8k in second gear and just let go of the gas (while the windows are open) do you smell oil?

and does the back of your car(mostly bumper) get dark soot?

yes and yes, but the smell isnt that noticable and it doesnt happen everytime or anything like that, only if i havent driven tha car in a couple of days and then the first time i take it into vtec i will smell a little somehting. As far as the black goes the soot will show up very well on our PY, its just from running rich in vtec, no biggie

no.

I sometimes smell a little oil when I've been on the roadcourse for quite sometime, but other than that, my ITR is golden.

But it's a nice feeling to wipe it in one go with a wet cloth

Seems like the rear bumper gets dirty the quickest. Dark soot is from running rich/VTEC. I usually see it above my big fart can/APEXi N1 tip..

B2 you don't have your R anymore??

I never noticed it before, so it must be something new. alltho its not much just enough to catch my attention that one night.

I do add oil very frequently but I just changed to Valvoline (sp?) and its used less so far in the two weeks of driving / Drove half as much as used to for some reason...

With the mobile1 I was adding 1/2 to 3/4 evry 1k miles and nothing yet with this stuff but now I smell it

Could it be Mobile1 does not smell when burnt?
