1. depends
2. nope, there are many choices. (If you want to stay with a honda piston, than yes)
3. No, lot of people run built (race) motors on the street

JUN III are more streetable than you think. Stock idle no real huge power before VTEC, but IF its tuned right youll get huge power after 5700 rpms. I have a fully ported head with standard CTR pistons in a b18c1 block with b16 head. Compression is around 12:1, I dont detonate, even on 100F days. Timing at 18. Power is nice and smooth down low and violent after 7000 rpms.

Sweet,
Same setup as me, except I am using a b18c1 head. I have my timing set to 16 degrees though, but that becomes irrelevant as I am using Hondata. With Hondata, you can advance or retard the timing without using the distributor.

Same here, no detonation, just some crazy pull after 5900 (my Vtec x-over).

If you want to do it cheaply, the CTR pistons are the best bang for the buck.

rock a stock intake with a drop in. it will make the same amount of power and no rain issues. Also have a set of III's in stock.
