hey KATMAN answer this, does jdm small box comp. have speed limiter
just asking because i have a ls vtec and i have a 94 gsr jdm computer and on the outside of the computer. it has your name with 5700 under it and it has a sticker that says strong for honda. the reason i ask the question of the speed limiter is because this comp cuts out at a 123 mph and it sucks *** . i can spank alot of *** until 123mph, and ive heard jdm small box comps dont have speed limiters. so can you tell me anything about this comp or do you even remember it.
123 mph
123 mph
jdm ecus suck cause they all have speed limiters, only thing good about them is thier awesome fuel maps...notice that all stock jdm clusters only register 180km...which is 120 mph...they are all governed..road laws are very strict in japan...just get kaplan to rechip it for you....hes the man..
jdm ecus do not have aggressive fuel maps over the USDM
i have a dyno which compared US vs JDM gsr ecu's
and the US made more power through out the powerband.
jdm turd eh?

Mine cuts out too at 120 mph, its a JDM PR3, OBDI. Hopefully the upcoming Hondata install will take care of the speed limiter.
maybe so jdm ecu's all cut out at 120 but why does my vtec kick in at 4700 and usdm not till 5500RPM. so shouldnt it already have been chipped or is the speedlimter a seprate chip becuase i thought it was all the same chip. all i know is im tired of whoopin peoples ***'es and then they pass me while my car just cut out at 120 when i know i still could be kickin there ***.
This is a dumb question but I will ask it anyway since you are on the topic of JDM ecu's. I am about to order a automatic P72 to use with my GSR changeover and I want to know if I will be able to use 91 octane with the JDM fuel and ignition maps and not detonate?
