My 98 LS has no speed limiter. It just stops accelerating when it's giving it all that's possible. 185 km/h is only 115 mph, your car must have a speed limiter that cuts fuel or spark when you go above that speed. I don't think US integras have them.

Yes, I believe all JDM motors (well ECU's) have speed limiters that are quite low.

yeah JDM ecu's are limited (you can bypass this).

also I'd have to double check, but I'll bet the automatic gearing is a big factor too.

Its in the ECU (computer). You'd have to get it chipped or get a new ECU thats already changed in order to bypass that. My suggestion is just deal with it, there's no reason to go over 110 mph unless you are running that fast at a track and I doubt that. Drive safe and don't kill anyone.

yeah you maybe right but try keeping up with a type R and a bunch of GSR's and SIR's that have stick shifts and you are the only automatic in the bunch

how fast have any of you stick gsr guys gotten your cars up to, just curious because im looking at a 94 and a 98, and are there any ecu differences besides obd 1 and 2, like governor and rev limiter?

I have gotten mine upto about 135mph but after that my ********* seem to get very small and begin to shrivle up. But there are alot of factors that depend on how fast you go. Alot of it has to do with air and aerodynamics of the vehicle. My car did not cut out at 135mph, it actually wanted more, but I can't help it I just get to scared and lift.

I have taken my car (completely stock) to 140+ on the freeway late night. I could have gone faster i think but the car gets unstable and rattles alot

haha thats very funny yeah maybe if you drop the car lower using coilovers it will cure that.
But that is good and i want to achieve that but is chipping the only way to remove the limiter???
