Default h22 to ek, harness trouble

Okay, i have an EK with an h22a1 in it. I just recently bought the car, and the harness is in bad shape, and its not an h22 harness i believe its the harness from the d16 or whatever came with the car originally. I bought an obd2 wiring h22 wiring harness for the car and just expected to wire it and and connect it to the ecu or whatever. But i didnt know that the h22 wiring harness was a 2 piece, it also includes the cabin harness, which dont i have obviously. The harness that is on there now is just a one piece. And from what ive been told the h22 obd2 cabin harness goes all over the firewall and to the cluster. So what i guess i'm asking is what would be the best way to fix this problem. Should i just get the cabin harness for h22 and rewire all that in or would that even work? Or should i get another D16 harness thats in good condition and rewire it to work right and wire up vtec...... im just so confused by all of this

any help i would really appreciate.
