Default Competition Clutch twin disk stripping spines out of 1 frictionb disk????

Happen to anyone else??? Now 3 of us have done it locally (mine after 6000 BEATEN miles so Im not mad... LOL)... Just curious...

Started out of NOWHERE.... just came to a stop, went to take off in 1st and it sounded like a terredactyl on crack screaching and ****... My buddy had told me about a month ago that something like this happened to his too... Another still had it happen to his replacement disks he purchased recently...

1st was a K series,
2nd was a B
Mine's an H

The two other guys had less than 100 miles on theirs... The K series one that **** the bed was brand new, hes making about 320WHP. THe B series car were replacement disks (no problems with the originals).. Lasted a month (Rarely beaten) 450WHP...

And mine had 6K on it, ive broke 7 trannys beaten contantly at 630WHP... LIke I said I ubnderstand why mine might have failed... but would never think the splines would break off of the disk.... I have a Tilton flow control valve with the smallest pill in it too..

WTF???

We have never had a problem with the twin disks...you should give them a call.

I just went through this with a tilton twin, and a friend of mine did the same. Both on k series. They are working on fixing the problem for me. Good luck.

Only time i see this happening, is when you don't have the tranny dowel pins between the block and tranny. Hope you guys have those in. Otherwise i'm scratching my head why it would do this.

it happened to me, i didnt have nearly as many miles on mine as you did, hadn't even done the first 3000mile oil change yet. here was my post from a year ago. I ended up having to buy a pair of new discs.

That happen to my buddy's car as well. Probably have about 6k miles or even less than that and even the disc itself got so worn out bad. Competition Clutch took care of the problem.

i was talking to C.C yesterday at the track about the twin and they told me that you have to run the pedal stop because excesive clutch engagemnet on the pedal destroys the fingers..i dont run one either and had it for a few years with no probs. maybe its only the newer ones that need it

you have to run the clutch stop oryou will damage the diaphram! period the other problem is you have to make sure when you put the tranny onto the motor the splines go easy into the two plates because they can get off a little when you start wobbling the trans to get the two to mate. CC the badest clutch around! chris came to see me from georgia last week here in cali, he always told me he would come visit and he pulled through!

ive got my tranny hanging off... been prying on it HARD too, wont come off...Put the slave back on the treanny to try and see if i pushed the clutch in if it would pop off... MNo luck. It lets the tranny fall off a bit, but now I KN OW my disk is bent too.... Did you guys just pry the wholy [freak] out of it???

I have new disks on trhe way so i dont give a [freak] about these... But I dont want to [freak] something else up. IM SURE one of the disks is bent though just by how the tranny is trying to pull off, and it was most likely from prying it off since it was sure as hell assembled correctly.

I'm surprised to see so many others with this issue. When mine went bad last year, I was told that this was a rare thing to happen. Another thing too is I havent seen any exedys with this issue, I've heard of a tilton but thats about it.
