Allmotor total timing at WOT
Hey guys,
Just wondering what effect raising or lowering the ignition timing at WOT will do to your powercurve?
At the moment im running a street tuned AFR Crome map with stock P72 ignition timing so total timing at stock revlimit is 28deg.
I noticed the P30 stock basemap runs about 25deg total timing.
It would be good if everyone posts their total timing as well so we can compare.
My setup is pretty basic just stock JDM B18c (GSR) block and head with ITR cams.
Cheers

Your timing values sound like they are in the correct ballpark.
Ignition timing values are going to be different depending on what engine management system you are using, what settings you are using etc.
Another major issue to consider is the fact that a lot of people don't properly sync their distributor timing to their engine management system.
Sync your timing, put the car on a dyno & start tuning

Exactly.
You have to understand that timing values are not really comparable between systems. And it is absolutely essential to sync your distributor before you start tuning or after you play with any intake cam settings.
