why wont my Car start?????

Default why wont my Car start?????

aight this is the problem i was drivin my car today and it just cut off like the motor shut off when i tried to recrank it the starter sounded like it was stripped out i pulled the stater and checked the starter gear and flywheel and the teeth on both looked fine but the the thing that puzzled me is even if it is my starter why did my car just shut off?? i really dont know my car is a 96 honda civic with a d16y8 and mild motor work done to it such as high compression pistons cam springs and retainers and ecu if anyone could help out it would be greatly appreciated thanks

Check whether the timing belt snapped. Remove the valve cover and then the upper timing belt cover to inspect.

check your timing belt.

check your battery. maybe the alt is bad and the batteries drained.

my car did the same before and it was the alternator. Check on that. Any check engine light codes?

OK i will check the timing belt and if its not that i will check the alternator im pretty sure its not the battery because all the lights and everything still come on including the headlights and all that good stuff and it does have oil i appreciate the suggestions keep them comin thanks
