ok tonight my car just up and quit on me, i was driving about 25-30 when i looked at my cluster my battery and oil lights were both on, car just died and now wont start back up!!! WTF? i checked all my fuses good there what else can i check for? maybe clogged fuel filter? it turns over just no fire so i figure no spark or no gas????
any help?

check the engine codes and test the alternator and oil pressure.

Also check to see that your timing belt didn't slip, if it skipped a few teeth, it won't start, no compression. Happened on my old B16, put the belt back to where it was supposed to be, and it started right up. If that's the case, redo your ignition timing on the distributor also.

maybe a bad ecu???? im running a b16a sir2 motor timing belt is ok also

what year car is the B16 in? if you have no spark use a multi meter and check your distributor components.

No, because of OBDII issues - although I know some people around here who can modify one to work, but you REALLY gotta know the equipment.

Don't forget one of the tracks you were on - No fuel. Sounds stupid, but you might be out of gas, or the pump might not be working, or the injectors might not be opening.

it is a 94 with 94 jdm b16a, so a 94-97 gsr distributor will work?

Check relays i just had the same thing happen to me. They replaced my distibutor and ecu but no good it ended up just being a relay.

its in my distributor cause i put on another one and it started fine
so may be the igniter or something

well there you go good job on the trouble shooting. you could try to goto a junkyard and get one if you dont want to buy a new one. i didn that with my old car.
