Default 92 Accord 5 Speed Clutch Issues

I have a 92 Accord with almost 300K, and I believe it just ate the throwout bearing. In a matter of only a mile or so I started picking up some vibration through the clucth pedal while it was depressed, and soon after that vibration was accompanied with a very load squeal. Once the squal started the engine can pull pulled down and even stalled by just depressing the cluch pedal. I believe the bearing siezed, so now when you depress the cluch the bearing is spinning on the cluch fingers. My question is, what is involved in dropping the tranny to get to the clutch, throwout bearing, and slave/fork? I have installed clutches in rear drive vehicles, but not a front wheel drive car. I have most of the basic shop tools, but I lack the lift, tranny jack, etc. If anyone can share some insight that would be great!

Thanks!

Update:

Well, I pulled the tranny out on Saturday (what a chore) and found that the throwout bearing was siezed up big time. Luckily it pulled right off the release fork and it didn't damage the diapragm fingers too bad. The unbolting of all the top side stuff (links and hoses and such) and pulling the driveline out was all non-difficult labor, but getting the tranny out once unbolted and especially back up into the car was a royal pain. Luckily, I had a buddy give me a hand to get it back up into the car because it's not a one person job (at least for me...). Everything hooked up back up and is reassembled except for the driver's side CV joint which was quite loose, so it's at a shop getting repaired today. All in all the R&R took me about 10 hours which is no speed record I'm sure, but hey, at least I saved $500 or so bucks at the shop

Anyway, thought I'd share the results... clutch pedal squealing = bad throwout!

Cheers,
John

Glad you got it worked out. With 350,000 on my original clutch, this job cannot be far off for me. Of course, I've been saying that for a 150,000 miles now.
