i did a search and read a few posts on the battery light. nothing i read had the same issues i did. soo here we go. i was driving and my headlights just flicker and my deck just shuts off but my car still runs. i saw the dash dim and the battery light came on. my battery sticker says 4/2004. i have a cap in my trunk and right before i started my car my cap was on and it read 13.3. my alt belt sqeeks started squeeking about a month but i put on belt dressing and it went away. i was able to drive home without stalling for about a good 20-30 mins. i got home and shut my car off and left it off for 10 minutes. i went back outside to start it and it cranked right back up with the battery light still on.any suggestions? deeply apreciated

take it to autozone or someplace and they will test the battery/alternator for free. that will atleast rule those components out.

 

i couldnt do a autozone cause i was nervous of it shutting down on me. i pulled the power wire on the battery and the car shut off. ithink it is my altenator.
