Default 1st gear problem.

ok, this rarely happen to me but i just wanted to ask if anyone experienced it. Sometimes, when i stopped at the light, and then green light was on, so put it to 1st gear, but it got stuck, i couldn't shift. I tried to shift many times but it wouldnt let me, so i have to gas it a lil then i can shift. it rarely happens to me. i wouldn't think it's the clutch and i have no idea why it does that.

mine is an 07 si coupe. thanks.

From day 1 off the lot, mine has done that. Same as grimeline mentioned, try doing 2 to 1. PIA. 1st gear, 3rd gear...what's next

thanks, i hope it's not another "defective" from honda. man, what's the deal honda. so many **** happened and yet they still trying to turn down the customer by saying "we could not replicate the problem". I know other dealer such as lexus wouldn't do that.

Well lexus is a "luxury" company. Honda is still considered ecomony class. Granted with the new ideas they're bringing to the table, they're working their way up. But at the end of the day, it's still a honda.

its your syncro. it happens in all stick cars from time to time. when ur gears get stuck, it usually happens when the tranny is still cold.

with me it happens even when my car is fully warmed up.

ive gotten into the habbit of putting it fully in first and clutching in when im waiting for the green light.

took my car to honda, and they wouldnt do a thing when i had my skunk2 weighted **** on it. they told me to put it back to the stock **** for them to check it out.

meh
