How can I tell if lets say the engine that Im purchasing from a friend of a friend is legit? Like is there a specific site someone can direct me to verify the vin? As well will the site all like demand I say whos selling me the engine if it does come up as stolen? Im just not down with stolen parts especially since if Id get caught with them theyd crush my car and thats just no beuno

as in I have never met the guy he has a 98 JDM H22 for $600 has been compression tested and everything seems to be in order dont see anything major that seems to be a problem didnt overheat in the crx I didnt hear any knocking Im just worried why so cheap hence maybe stolen? oh well Imma go check carfax thanks
