why is my check engine light go on when im boosting?

Default why is my check engine light go on when im boosting?
ok i have a chipped p06 in it 270cc injectors,and when i start to boost my check engine light goes on and then the car bogs down...map sensor since i havent the oe?

its on a 93 civic ex with a d16z6 dx tranny,only has 85k

how much boost are you running? when u say chipped p06, what program are you using for tuning? give us some details man.

stcok map sensor i think thats what it is and it has a xs chip in it..

8 psi....has a new head gasket and the internals were cleaned when doing so

"XS" chips aren't for boost, so ya, when you boost you'll throw a code for it. Get it tuned properly, or at least a proper basemap setup to allow boost.

You need a new chip setup properly. And perhaps some bigger injectors.

No, that'll throw a code too....... it's not setup for boost. Go search, there's plenty of information on this.
