What size turbo does my buddy have
My buddy is piecing together a new turbo kit and getting rid of his old log mani and 2.25in d/p. We can't figure out what turbo he has and wether its a t3 or t4 hotside.
Cold Side A/R - .70
Hot Side A/R - .63
I wanna say its a T3/60-1, its a pretty damn big turbo, for a street car lol.
if you need pics i can get some tomorrow.

No offence, but nobody asked for pics - they really are useless in most cases. Visual differences basicly alter how it will bolt up, not how it will function or how much power it will make (asside from divided turbine housings). Raw numbers tell us what it is, based on the lists availible.
To give you an idea, I could show you several pictures of a custom turbo I got for cheap - looks like an ordinary 225hp-max 50trim T3, but it has a t04e 57trim wheel in it. Looks can be deceiving

Well, without getting all snippy, I'll actually answer one of your originag questions. If it is indeed a .63 turbine housing, it is a t3 hotside. Most likely with a t3 exhaust wheel, which does'nt say much as there is a massive difference in the flow characteristics between the smallest and largest t3 wheels. .70 is considered the t04s cover(as opposed to b-.50 and e-.60), but I'm sure there are other covers that are also .70. Again, you will need to measure both wheels to accurately determine exactly what you have and estimate how it will perform.
