fuel issue need help losing my mind
ok on the dyno at 7000-8000 the fuel pressure drops from 70-80 to 40 but if i put air from the compressor to the regulator it will hold 80 at idle forever put -10 feed -8 return a1000 new pump new battery new alternator new indepentent vacume line had power to pump off the alt and the batt, same thing, i need some help guys i have never seen this thing beforeevery pass at that rpm it drops(boost level about 33-35psi on a 42r) low boost its fine carries out to 9500 no prob
can you post some pictures of what you have in regards to fuel lines/regulator/fuel rail ?
Ran into a similar situation not to long ago.

Sounds like the pump isn't keeping up with that power level. A1000's seem to be kinda hit or miss. Some people like Tony1 have made a ton of power on them while I have seen a couple start pressure dropping at much much lower power levels.
no pics but a bdl rail 1600cc inj areomotive regulator -10 feed -8 return oh and we sumped the tank too!think it might be a relay issue thats the only thing that hasent been replaced 45psi base pressure (fuel) dude over 50 pulls on the dyno trying to figure this out wtf
problem i bet

Did you ever run that fuel pump dry? My gas tank was empty and I accidently turned on the fuel pump a few time and it did the same thing.
nope we turned the pump on with fuel. Brand new guys we had the bosch before made close to 700 with a 4088r no prob until we did the upgrade.

is this the car with norris and crew at the moment? i cant promise anything......but i have a customer here that has a aeromotive eliminator pump thats not on his car at the moment.....it has just a handful of dyno pass's on it, its basically new.
if your trying to make the race this weekend, and would be willing to buy him a new one...i could call him and see if he would be willing to help out.
we have 1 or 2 eliminators on order, but they arnt here yet.

I had the same issue with my car. I changed everything even the pump and still had no luck. I finally removed the filter and problem fixed. The filter looked clean up had a blockage.
we pulled the filter and go figure the **** is dirt, but now it doesnt matter the oil pump blew up so we gotsta do a rebuild then we continue the test we had a bosch and it did it then too. will update when we get her running again since this seems a trouble problem that caused baldness on some of us lol
