Code 15 Ignition Output Signal! $#@%$@^
I have a 1999 Honda Civic Si.
-- My car has been sitting all winter mostly because of this problem I have been having. Five months ago I drove the car to work and everything ran smoothly. I go to leave at the end of the night and my car wont start. So I get a ride home and leave my car there.
-- I check the codes when the car gets to my house via AAA and I see that I am throwing a code 15 which is Ignition Output Signal.
Things I have done:
- Changed Dizzy
- Changed Plugs/wires
- Tried another ECU
- Checked all Fuses and Relays
I am pretty sure I have some sort of short somewhere in the harness itself. I have heard of a green/yellow wire that runs from the ecu to the dizzy and I should make sure that has power? Has anybody had a similar problem or have any ideas?
Thanks

honda-tech at its best.
we've done that. there is definitely something up with the harness. we took a volt meter to the connector at the alternator and there is no power ( in any of the wires! ) but at the ecu, there is, and at other points in the harness theres power, I.E. the headlights, the horn, I forget what else we tried, but the dizzy isnt getting power and the code 15 is coming up. Any one have any ideas why? is there a common problem around that we dont know of? anything we can do besides pull the harness and try another one. plugs, dizzy, wires, ecu have all been replaced, tried, and still nothing.
Ryan forgot to mention that when you try and crank the car, you can smell gas, so the fuel pump and all work and the motor is getting gas. anyone?
