Default 94 Accord EX auto cooling fan question.

Can someone tell me the names of the two different cooling fans (passenger and driver side fans)? I'm trying to order a replacement radiator cooling fan, the one that kicks on when the engine starts to get hot, not the one that turns on with the A/C. I think both fans are four blades and my old radiator is a Toyo brand. I purchased a new radiator from ebay...this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

Do I need to purchase another four blade fan or can I move to the more common five blade fans with the new radiator?

Thanks!

Assuming that's an OEM replacement and not just a radiator that fits in the space, your current fans will bolt to it.

Yes, but I want to replace the cooling fan as described in my first post. Do I need to buy a four blade fan as I have now or can I purchase a five blade jobber from ebay?

Why? Number of blades has nothing to do with it.

If you're looking to upgrade look at the CFM's. There isn't a direct bolt on replacement to my knowledge that's better performance. Just look at the slim fans that you'll have to fab up a bracket for.

*edit* Or are you just buying new fans? As long as they're oem replacements, there's no problems. Number of blades don't matter.

I'm not looking to upgrade the fan but to just replace it; it rattles like a can of marbles every time it engages. Is it just called the radiator cooling fan (as opposed to the A/C condenser fan)?

Thanks, MuffinMan!

Haha I gotca, yeah blade number doesn't matter a bit. So you're good regardless.

Any "OEM replacement" fan will be good. The driver's side is the AC condenser fan, the passenger is just a cooling fan.

Your other alternative is like TAS Auto or Honda Automotive Parts and you can get a brand spanking new Honda fan there.
