Wont go into gear
I have a 1990 Honda Accord LX 2.2L 5-speed. When the car is started it wont go into first or second. Third grinds when i try to put it into gear (all when the clutch is in obsiously and car is started). But when the car is off it shifts gears fine. I just replaced the clutch master cyclinder and slave cyclinder. I bleed the system and it still didn't help even though it had to be done. Also when i put it in first with the e-brake down it holds like it should, yet when i engage the clutch and car off in first it still holds. I think it might be the pressure plate, throw out bearing, or the clutch release bearing. I would like others opinion before I drop the tranny and replace the whole clutch assembly even though i know im gonna have to.
This exact same problem happened to me with my toyota starlet gt. Mine was the transmission fork. It cracked then eventually broke and it didnt want to go in gear when the car was on but shifts perfectly when the car was off. Take a look at the for before you buy anymore parts.
