Default Gauges all out, any suggestions?(searched)

I searched and found a bunch of different problems that were similar but not like mine. The only one that was like mine was never answered. But after changing my waterpump (which im sure is totally irrelivant) my gauges stopped working , except for ofcourse the speedometer. The Clock also is off. Sometimes when i first start up the car they all work again at the same time along with the clock , but then shut back off. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Im not an expert on this but I would recomend checking all your fuses and make sure everything has a proper ground. good luck

This just happened to me too in my civic and I've been searching trying to find out WTF. The only thing in my cluster to work is the speedo and batt light. Turn signals don't work but the hazzards do. I checked all my fuses and they're OK.

From what I can find out it may be the ICU located behind the fuse box. You have to remove the fusebox to get to it as it is attached to the back of it. I will be checking mine out tonight and trying to figure out a way to test it. It is also possible to disassemble it and look at the circuit board for burnt **** and swollen caps.

Hope this helps.

that's really weird...sounds like a bad ground. your backup lights can complete the circuit. i would just run some new ground wires to the engine and frame, clean the battery cables too. then see what's happening

you may check the plugs for the indicator combination switches (antennas behind the steering wheel ) for bad circuits. My headlight combination switch is bad in my car, so it takes like 5 minutes for my corner, tail and dash display lights to come on. I can mess with the stalk of the combination switch and it starts to work again and stays on, but i can turn the car off and it does it all over again.

and good info about that ICU unit as well, i didnt know that existed..
