Default school me on honda's

Hey, new here. As the name implies im really into Audi's and currently own a 98.5 1.8TQM that will be soon be getting a CTapp tuned gt3076r full-race setup set around 15psi until i can afford some scat rods. here's a pic

and now for the reason i came here. I'm trying to learn about other cars cause im going to be looking for a daily driver by the end of the year, and of course honda was the first car to pop into my head. I'm eventually going to be modding this car extensively too so i want to pick the right one now.

The ones i'm looking at are the fifth gen prelude and the third gen integra. Budget is only gona be ~5k so i doubt i can get an early rsx, right? if not, that would be on the list too.

Does one car come with a much better engine? When its all said and done, i plan on having a fully built engine w/ a gt35r. so which engine is best? who has the better bottom end/head. i definitely want vtec. my knowledge of honda's is limited right now but i'll be perusing through the insanely large forced induction FAQ you guys have here and learning more.

As i understand it right now, the k series engine's are the best? a k24 block w/ a k20 head and BT is what my friend was talking about building, but he said its extremely expensive. and the next best would be a h22? or are there other ones that are better? Would the integra or the prelude be an easier swap for a k or h series engine? Also how do these engine's hold up to boost in stock form? im guessing only a few lbs of boost out of a 35r until you have to swap rods and/or pistons.

if there are any guides you can point me to that have a lot of general honda info, that would be great. and thanx for any help

And one last random question. What's the deal with Si? What is it?

knew i was going to get an answer like that. but if everyone searched, you wouldn't have much of a forum. im reading thread after thread of info and learning a lot, but this isn't even the only car im looking at. i dont feel like researching all this stuff by myself, so if your not gona help, dont bother posting.

me personally bang for you buck...get a g3 gsr for $4k and spend 1k to add intake, header, exhaust, and power pulleys...that will be a perfect starting point for you to save up money and get real hp through upgrading cams, pistons, rods and such

i wont be modding this car at all for at least a year. its gona go straight from stock to fully built, so i just want to pick the best engine and car. im feeling the prelude more, and it already comes with the h22, which i know is a really good engine. but how does it compare to the F or K series engines? and how hard would it be to swap those into a 5th gen prelude? final plans are a fully built block w/ a 35r

a prelude is definitely a better engine than an integra but the chassis is wayyyy heavier as well as f and k series cars..i'm more of a fan for small lightweight cars for handling and less "sluggish"...
you have to ask yourself these questions

i would never sagest a 5th gen prelude nor any prelude there way to heavy wast of money. the third gen integra is nice but also a little heavy. if its between the 2 i say the integra all the way but truth your better off with a 92 to and welcome to the bords

didn't know the prelude's were so heavy, tho they're still a lot lighter than my current car lol. i dont really care about handling with this car. its gona be more of a straight line, highway beast

i like the look of them a lot better than any other honda. im considering a 5th gen civic because of the weight, but i just dont like the looks. and definitely nothing before 92.

thanx for the help guys
