If your title was more descriptive than "quick question," then you would most likely get more replies with less views. But since people don't know wtf you're going to ask, they have to look.

What to "jump" for your base idle?

I can say I've never heard of that. What are you trying to do? If your idle is high you can play with the adjustment **** on the throttle body or if that doesn't work follow the FITV/IACV/etc cleaning thread

Default quick question.. base timing?

It's a Honda Accord you don't need to jump anything to set the base idle. Your thread title states that your looking for base timing????

here is a quick how to for the base idle:

1. Start your car and hold idle @ 2500-3000rpm and get it up to operating temp... cooling fan cycles
2. Turn off ignition
3. Unplug IACV
4. start car and adjust idle to spec using idle speed screw on face of throttle body (550 ±50 RPM IIRC)
5. turn off car plug in IACV
6. Reset ECU - pull backup fuse or disconnect - terminal for 30sec
7. Start car without load conditions for 1-2 minutes (no throttle)

Your done!

FYI, try to be a bit more descriptive in your thread titles
The blue connector that you referred to is the SCS connector with GRN/BLU & a RED wire. You jump that to retrieve codes from the ECU aka diagnostics mode. While in diagnostics mode that is also how you check/set your base timing.

wow. that was semi informative..

i found the proper procedure in the honda manual. the timing marks are on the flywheel, and there's a plate on the bellhousing.

FYI , you never ,EVER turn that idle-stop screw. ever.

Go back to reading your Honda certified shop manual, like the one I have, and read the part about setting base idle. The only way to adjust it is by touching that screw.... thanks for letting me know that I shouldn't touch it though. I am quite capable of working on my own car. "Semi informative"......Your the one looking to be spoon fed the info

Oh yeah there is a big difference between base idle and base timing as well... maybe you should make up your mind what it is that your looking for before you ask a different question in your post than what is in your thread title..... or were you looking for both procedures..... That I gave you step by step out of the shop manual...lol

Actually butter cup, yes, yes you can adjust it.

That's why it's there. For fine tuning the idle.
