Short answer, No. Long answer if you have ALOT of money, alot of fabrication skills, and alota time, Yes.

its not a 'drop in swap' like the D and B series of engines are, and the F20C1 is meant for RWD applications.

i know that someone with a hatchback did the swap back in the day. i dont know anything about the car other than that, or what was involved.

so, yes, its possible, but certainly not without a lot of money.

Okay, so let me give a clearer answer.

Yes, it is possible. Then again, almost anything is possible with enough money.

The OP is 18 and is asking this question.

If he were really going to do this, he would probably honestly not need to ask.

OP, there are engine swaps out there which would probably suit you better than an S2000 swap.

true why dont you just buy a b or k series instead of spending a gazillion dollars on custom fab work for the f20 swap think

They make a special trans adapter for it now. It's called an F to K. You obviously use the F20C/22C with a K series trans.

The engine probably wont make 240hp in a civic....and a K series has more potential AND is easier to swap in.

Do the math on why not many people have bothered. The "cool" factor runs out when you spend the money, do the work, and then get left in the dust by a guy who gave half the effort.

Leave F20Cs in S2000s. Or miatas.

So. I've known kids with S2000s and Corvettes at 17.

You missed the point. I'm not saying he can't drive a certain car. I'm saying the probability is he cannot afford to do this swap himself. This swap is more labor intensive than just asking mom and dad to buy you a certain car.

He can't even figure out how to do a proper search for this, so no, I don't think he can figure it out on his own. Since he can't figure it out on his own, it's unlikely that he'd have the cash to throw at someone else to figure it out for him.

Though a parent might be willing to buy a child a car, they're less likely to be willing to buy them an experimental swap.

i was totally kidding when i was talking about doing it earlier...but i guess most people didnt catch the sarcasm...

i know of alot of people who drive vetts/sti/evos at 16-18

Kid with money will not want to buy a honda and swap in a f20c they will buy a car fast out of the box.

just for ***** and giggles...f20c in a civic that is just absolutely amazing

With a Sawz-All, some JB weld and a sledgehammer, it will slide right in. Good luck
