I know that you need a laptop to control the bosst assuming you have a boost solnoid, but what I am wondering is once you change boost. Do you have to restart the car or anything like that or is everything on the fly? Also is tuning the same as well? If you wanted to change something then would it change real time or do I have to turn the car on and off or something like that for the settings will apply?
Sorry if it has been asked before but I didnt see anyone talking about it and it was something I was wondering as I would like to be able to change boost on the fly either with s300 or with a ebc..

you can change it in real time, while the car is running you can change the boost values or any values and click upload and it uploads it in a blink of an eye. You can change values while tuning and it will use those values, but if you dont upload and you disconnect your laptop, im pretty sure it reverts back to the last previously uploaded map. You don't have to restart the car. Any time you reload a full map file or start fresh, it will take about 5-8 seconds to initially load a map...you have to have the car off for that.

How would you go about doing that?
How would you go about doing that?
under your boost control tab
click enable boost control at the top
then click gear based duty cycle
the first drop down menu under gear based duty cycle----click the input you want to use to switch from high boost/low boost
wire up your switch to that input
set up your low boost / high boost tables
and your set

you can also use the AC button if it works.

You can also run a switch inline too your 12v side of your solenoid and then technically have 3 settings(wastegate, low/high boost settings).
