I just put a f22b dohc in my 94 accord,, Runs like carp.... spitting and no power.

You say run a CHIPPED ECU.. Do you know if this will fix that problem? and what chip is it that you run? Also how do you know this??
Thanks Ron

If the ECU is chipped you can run whatever basemap you need off of it. So yes it will fix the problem.

Searchizzle

namely look at the Engine Computer Management/Tuning forum lower down the main page.

P28 is probably the best bet, then chip it, then find the correct basemap

a p08 is not an accord ecu...that is a jdm sohc vtec ecu with a 1 wire o2 sensor.
did you mean a P0B ? If so that one should work well enough though its not ideal for power.

Hummm,,,, Yea I guess it is,,, I didn't pull the ECU out and the light was a bit low.

I guess your saying that I am not getting the full potential power using the stock ECU?

the stock ecu is for a sohc engine making 130 hp.
you have an engine designed with 2 cams and 160 hp in there. see a problem yet?

OK I can see that!! Let me ask you this,,, How would you suggest fixing this prob, I prefer to keep the ECU that I have. I see these chips for sale,,, what is the deal with those?? Does my ecu have a changeable chip? How do I find the one that would be suitable for my engine and car??
Can you tell me exactly what the chip does? What would be the diff with my ecu and the correct ecu (what does it do diff to the engine to get better performance?)

Thanks Ron
