any turbo will work on any motor, the flange on the manifold is what matters.

that turbo wont get you past 275whp on your stock d series and thats pushing it.

I'd love to get the TD05-16G out of the IX-MR ~hint hint~.

Here's some info --> https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2198045

thanks i read through that entire thing. Im interested with the fact that boosted hybrid slapped on the evo 9 injectors, intercooler, and turbo, while still using but tweaking the original evo ic piping.. I was wondering what i'll need to to when welding the stock evo manifold what changed will need to be made kind of scared to attempt to kind of jimmy rig the evo manifold to my b18c. Any one have pictures of this or is there a company besides tig art (not going to pay 1200 for a manifold) and i never really got the whole water cooling setup fab

you can have any decent fab shop either modify a manifold with a mitsu turbo flange, or order a mani new from a fab shop with a mitsu turbo flange on it.......

if you don't know exactly what you're doing, it's best to do it right the first time and have someone else help you instead of guessing and jimmy-rigging.

I'm in the process of changing from the little 14B to the TD05HR 16G6 turbo. On my Lude I have problems with my front motor mount in combination with my custom mani, so maybe I will ditch the front motor mount..

I was thinking that might happen, but then I read you could tuck
it really well and keep ac and stock long radiator. So did you make your own custom manifold? But I'll be home in a couple weeks and I'm gonna see what I need to do for fitment on my b18c only read about it on b18b's so far.

I think the rotation of the turbo may become a factor when considering the use of an Evo 9 turbo.

rotation of the turbo?? idk about that but im just curious to see a side by side comparison of the evo manifold and the type r manifold.. still not convinced i can just do some red neck fab work to it.. lol no matter what i think i may heat wrap it have a feeling its gonna be ugly....

You mean the rotation of the turbine and compressorwheel?That doesn't matter, as long as exhaust gasses are coming into the turbine, the wheel will always spool..

On d/b engines, the Evo9 turbo would be better suited for an A/C setup, since the turbo can be aranged to have the compressor on the passenger side. This is the easiest way to fit a turbo in next to a compressor. Snice the f/h have that balance shaft in front, the opposite is true since most of their manifolds have their turbo flange welded on the side vs the bottom (give a log manifold).
