That is a twin scroll rectangular flange. no one makes a manifold that will fit a B-series with that flange, it must be made. The turbo is not well matched for the GS-R motor at all. We tried it for the sake of experience, and it was just inefficiently matched for that engine for the street purpose of the car.

It may be best to get something else, honestly.

Way too small for a GS-R and good luck finding a flange.

i honestly think those turbos are way underrated. those turbos make over 350WHP on dsms. i think its a perfect turbo for the street and a stock b18.

That may be true on DSMs... they do not have the same characteristics, CFM head flow design, or powerband that a GS-R has. those are 350whp turbos at over 22-23psi of boost, and unless he has his map sensor and management able to handle that, there is no point in using such a turbo in which the powerbands of the 2 engines are completely different.

Like I said, we did this as a test already.. it was not good to say the least.

listen to the shodan, turbo is just not a good match for the breathing needs/abilties of the gsr when there are so many other turbos out there

Actually a diamond star turbo isnt gonna work beacause uits a special mitsu housing on the exhaust side and it does'nt bolt up to a t25 t3 t4 nor a t6 housing...

Full-Race usually has these flanges instock. Give them a call 866-Full-Race

We are making a ram horn for that turbo, its for a lancer but its using that flange. The customer does not mind it not having a true divided collector.

Weirtech supplied us with the flange.

Better to use a t3 turbo because there easier to swap out if you ever wanted to upgrade.

I made a setup for my bros GSR that used a evo8 turbo with the 9.8 housing and it made great power for how everything was setup.

I might be able to post up the dyno graph later but i think it made somewhere along the lines of 260 hp and 240 tq. The integra had a pretty restrictive 2.5 inch exhaust with a factory skyline cat and muffler. Spool was insane, 10 psi by 2300 rpm and torque was @ 220 by 3300 rpm and peaked around 240 @ 5000. Not bad power when you can pass emissions He did cheap out on the intercooler and added about 2 feet of extra charge pipe because the manifold was setup to use a vertical flow.

Manifold was a custom "response" Full Race non production unit and was dubbed the Bevo. And because these turbos are reversed it allowed me to really tuck it into the block and keep AC, power steering and stock full length radiator all without having to clock the turbo from stock.

I think for the money an evo8 turbo is a kickass option if you want about 300 whp. You can find them for less then $250 usually. And they are a watercooled divided factory turbo with dual internal wastegates. Twinscroll is where its @, especially for the street.

Honestly, that would be nice to see. Perhaps there were some avenues that we didn't look at. Our problem was control in terms of the tires more than anything else. The size of the wheels are not that bad, but a lot of work to simply net that amount of power and boost, when there are other simpler alternatives to work with the GS-R, which is why we didn't bother to try to continue. I'm sure that there were some positives to your experience.

The FP Greens for Evo's were 60-1s. There are more universal (and less expensive) apps for that than the FPGreens or Reds (which have also changed).

HEY! thats my car

Like stated before my bro designed the manifold and I did everything else. Charge piping went from 2" - 2.25" - 2.5" for the hot side and 2.5" for the cold side paired with a DSM bov and worked very well regarding spool characteristics. The exhaust system was designed to be very quite and emissions friendly which also worked extremely well. The initial exhaust and iccp designs were perfect for our goal of 250whp/250wtq @ on a stock motor. Sadly, the kit was sold to a friend of mine and installed on a completely stock 95' GSR. When tuning his setup no more power could be realized due to the restrictive exhaust and iccp systems.

Dont worry! Were building another one and this time we will upgrade the intercooler to a vertical flow 8x24x3 core with custom end tanks. The iccp will be all 2.5" and fitted for a Tial 50mm bov and the exhaust system will be true 3". I have a couple tricks up my sleeve for the o2 housing too .

ill prob use the EVO MR turbo again and it wont even cost me $300! hahaha
