Car almost stalling. Need help Tech's.
Over the past week and a half it has been doing this . When i'll go fast through the gears every now and then the engine will cut out . The engine light will come on and almost stall but i let off the gas and it goes back to running fine . When i drive it normal nothing abnormal happens . It usually happens when the rpms are above 4000 . I bought some fuel injector cleaner and that did not help . I bought a fuel filter and havent installed it yet . When I first got the car and would go fast through the gears I would shift at redline and the engine light would come on . The engine would sound like it cut out , but it would not affect anything.
Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong?

A guy on my local message board said this might be whats wrong.
" Sounds like the duty cycle it to high on the injector(s) and it is causing one(or more of) them to be stuck open. I would have to ride in it to really see and feel the problem. "
Do ya'll think he is correct about that?

I installed the feul filter and that did not fix the problem. Now I am checking the ignition components. Would that bethe cause of this?

My friend said that usually the O2 sensor it would be rough as soon as i get on the gas and sometimes at idle . My car idles fine drives fine when i drive normal , but when i floor it in first or second it will jerk and almost stall , CEL comes on then it goes away.
Here's another shot...when I did my swap, idle is a bit rough runs ok but when I floor the gas pedal engine boggs like its drinking too much gas and it wants to spit it out...We retraced the vacuum hoses connection, apparently they were interchanged then we plugged any hose thats not connected to anything...it solved the problem...I hope this solves yours too...
heres another trick.. try reseting your ecu sometimes that helps.. or try using a friends ecu. just to see if thats the problem. if it idles good then why would it be your filter ? its just when it hits vtec right? then it should be only your computer
