i broke my old starter at the bolt and installed a new starter. now the starter wont work from the switch inside the car.. if i turn the key to start it all i hear is the fuel pump but i can start it by touching the switch on the starter to a constant..i took it to firestone but they dont know anything there.. i was wondering if the fuel pump is supposed to click on with the starter or does it pressurize the system and start? anybody have an idea...

make sure all your wires are hooked up and ground if it is a 5 speed check the clutch interlock switch and if it is a auto chech the park nuetral switch
