Default just thought i would share (video of buttonwillow)

On saturday about 12 integra type r owners got together and i tagged along in my GSR for a track day at buttonwillow. Here is a video of me on my 4th session of the day, this was when it started cooling down a little bit and my tires began to stick a little better and i was finally building my confidence. Im feeling that next time i go to buttonwillow, if i have the option of entering a lower intermediate class (being that there would be 2 intermediate classes, as seems to be typical) ill enter into that.

I have a pretty sweet suspension setup, so it felt perfect. I had recently set my spring rates to 380 front 450 rear, when i had the shocks (koni) on full stiff the first 3 sessions it was a little too loose for me in the rear, im sure most of you would say it wasnt loose enough but im still gaining confidence. I lost control going into corner one and turned the shocks down 3/4 after that

any comments on my driving is appreciated, negative or positive

im on the bottom left

the music is a band called Torche

Pretty smooth. I'd love to do some laps at that track some day.

yeah it was speedventures

ill tell you, i definitely liked speedtrialsusa a little more, they just seemed a bit more organized

the craziest part was when someone in an rx7 flipped their car on the coold down lap in the beginner group!

don't do RTA bushing if you don't really feel comfortable with the rear losing, you better look into the front compliance set from mugen

or just not changing them at all. it'll take you years to reach the potential with your current setup unless you're a natural IMO

Kevin,
in the sweeper before the esses, I was told to stay outside but not too far out, then right before the esses, go through the esses in more of a straight line. I dont know if that made any sense to you or not?

I promise to bring my A game next time! You're my car to keep up with!

you know, what you said totally makes sense, i had watched a few videos of other cars on the same track configuration and they were coming out of that sweeper so that they were pointing straight before the esses, i seemed to be hitting them at an angle every time.

tony kept saying i was turning in early

ill tell you this, i like the configuration with the hairpin instead, but i guess i gotta learn to deal with it

thanks for the tip, we better hang out again man

nice u did really well im guessing u had really good tires and that was 13cw track configueration if im not misstaken. overall u did really good u did come in yoo much on the sweeper but i did that too it. it seems the best way to get trough it with speed is to think of it as 2 corners the sweeper and then the decreasing right try not to hit the inside burm on the exit and it won't pussh u off like in your last lap u came close. on the last laps u started pushing harder right after cotton corners all the way trough. i was able to maintain full troodle starting at the strait before the grapevine all the way trough the bus stop, never lift. but other than that ur set up looks good and dam that rx-8 was slow
