Hi all im new to the board. Ok heres my problem, I have a 98 Civic 1.6L 4 door with a Edelbrock turbo kit. Its pulling the code P0108, Manifold absolute pressure/BARO sensor high output. I changed the Map and got nothing. I clear the code and it come back instantly. Does this at idle so boost isnt the problem. Any help will be appriciated.

 

how much boost are you running? Stock map only hold like 10psi from a common t3/t4. Do you if its the BARO (Barometer) itself then you'll probly need a new ecu. Are you tuned, or have a bypass for the map also?

 

The problem is its doing it at idle, not under boost. I clear the code and the idle goes down almost to the point the where it wants to die and then the code comes back on and then idles at about 900rpm. I dont have a bypass for it and its only boosting 6psi.

 

Also the car spit and sputters while trying to drive off and unless its under a load it will do the same thing.

 

ok, are you tuned on anything and do you have a stock map?

 

Its a stock map. I didnt even know they made aftermarket ones. The tune in the car has been the same one it has had for 2 years now and has never had a problem untill recently. The kit came with its own computer and runs a second fuel rail when comes into boost.
