Code 7 Throttle possition sensor
I just replaced my old Omni power USA TPS with a new one. After some testing it was determined that it was a dead spot in the TPS that cause the vehicle to "buck" at certain speeds. Ordered a new one from Omnipower, installed it in the 68mm Omni Throttle body thats been on the car and started it up. The car had a slight hesitation at first but then idled fine, then the check engine light came on. I checked out the plug on the TPS thinking I forgot to plug it in or something dumb and it was plugged in, and the 2 bolts on the TPS were secure as well. Started it up again, same thing. I decided to take it for a test drive and no more bucking like I was getting with the old one, and the car ran great...just with the CEL on. I Got home and jumpped the pins on the ECU and the code was 7 (TPS). The car is now sitting with the battery disconnected so I'm hoping maybe it just needed to be reset?
Does anyone have any additional input on this for me?
Thanks
