anyone have "mini" backfires?

at idle?
mine sounds like it sputters once every 4-5 seconds or so. Not really a loud pop, but it sounds like a real quiet backfire. any guesses to what it is?

That is a miss (miss fire) not a backfire.

Usaully from being lean allthough it will allso do it if there is to much fuel
