Default Trunk Solenoid for EK Hatch??

I can't stand the whole, "get out with my keys, open trunk" so I'm looking at adding a trunk solenoid to my existing alarm system. Anyone tried this with success? I see a ton of them available on eBay, but most appear to be poor quality.

Any hints or advice is appreciated.

Chris

doesn't seem that hard...u just want the trunk to pop right? or did u want the trunk to open by itself also??? if just to make it pop it's just the same setup as your doors, instead it's pulling on a cable, so you can put it anywhere in ur car...but if it's to make the whole trunk open....that's a different story...

I just want it to unlock, not lift the hatch up or anything extra special. I'll take a look at it. A trunk solenoid is only $20 on eBay. If it works I'll post the details.

i had my alarm installed at the shop. i asked them to put an actuator for the rear hatch and it works perfectly. just like a door lock...but mounted vertically.

Cool, thanks! I'll try to install one in the next couple weeks.
