Ok, this goes out to all you alarm and wiring gurus. I.m in the final stages of getting my R ready for the road. i justa finished doing my alarm and everything works perfectly. the only problem I am having is, I shaved the key hole for my trunk and i no longer have any of the locking mechanisms, (on the hatch itself and on the chassis) i was wondering if any one had a write up with pictures on how to do this, or could explain in detail on how to do this. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys.

Your going to need the both the latching mechanism, [in hatch] and the latch "hook", [on chassis] you do not need the locking mechanism, you do not even need the the release cable.

Install a trunk release solenoid to the latching mechanism instead.
I would add an "emergency" release, just in case. 94
