Fuel in my air cleaner box.
It is a D15B4 (89 civic) Dual side draft carb. The car starts easy when it is cold and hot but when it in warm (sitting for about 10 min after driving) it is hard to start. I have to wind the motor over for about 30 sec for it to start and there is fuel in the air cleaner box. What would cause the carbs to do this?
its kinda normal for carbs , especially side draft ones. hold the throttle down all the way when you start it when its just slightly warm, the problem is that when its cold the choke comes on and starts fine and when its hot it doesnt need the choke, unfortunatly the choke is either off or on, so when its just a little warm the choke isnt on making it hard to start
Check your float levels and needle valves. Also check your floats and make sure they float, you might have a hole in one.
Really that is it for a carb set-up. Try this too. When you park it warm loosen up the gas cap and relieve the pressure. Then when you come back in 10 minutes tighten the cap and see if the hard start problem occurs.

Thanks for the help. It turned out to be a vacuumed pipe that was leaking. Something to do with throttle control. I fixed it and now the car is running really good. Not shore how this made the carbs leak.
