need some help. i have a type r tranny but the xle wont go all the way in on the passenger side. once it goes in you can pull it out easily with your hands. my mechanic is telling me that the differential may not be good.
or the reason could be that when i bought the tranny a 4.9 final drive was put it and it may have not been put back together properly.

any tips on what may be the prob and what i should do would be appreciated. thanks
