Tranny woes
Over four months ago I replaced the passenger side Axle on my 93 civic (d16z6). About three days after that in driving and -bang- im stuck in what I assume is neutral and cannot get into any gear. I tow my car home and jack it up and I see the axle (inner joint?? dont know what it's called) about a 1/4inch from the tranny case and oil trailing behind it all the way to the rear subframe.
My guess is that I need a new tranny. I would love to pull it and take a look inside to see whats really wrong but I don't have time for that. I have time to replace the tranny or fix someother problem that I might be prepared for if I knew exactly what was wrong.
I just got back from four months in Brazil and now need my car again. I figured I would ask you guys for any insight incase it might be something small or stupid that I may not be considering. Help?

make sure the axle is in all the way and make sure the gasket around where the axle goes into the tranny isn't damaged or even missing if it's leaking that profusely.

Re: Tranny woes (d[sick]sTeena)
I know I need the axle all the way in. Thats probably why Im in this situation in the first place.
What I need to know is if the problem might be something other than messed up tranny.
Either way, I think ill be picking up a used tranny today.
