Default Problem With CN2 Header - JDM GSR ECU

Little history...

Have a JDM GSR installed in my 1998 Civic. Up until a few months ago, was running Hondata s200 with no problems whatsoever.

I pulled the all-motor setup in the fall to rebuild for boost, but left the ECU/Hondata intact. Decided to sell the Hondata to run Neptune since it was less expensive than adding the boost option to my s200.

Fast forward a few months, when I purchased the blingin' Neptune TunerView.

Went to hook it up this weekend, and I couldn't get it to turn on. Metered out the pins on the CN2 header that the TunerView connects to, and I'm getting power on all 4 pins. Pin 1 should be ground, and I'm wondering what the hell the problem could be?

I removed the battery before I began disconnecting wiring when I pulled the engine, so I wouldn't fry anything.

The only thing I can think of is that the first night I was testing the wires, I didn't have my point-ended probes on my meter, and maybe I shorted one of the pins with power to pin 1, and I zapped the ground trace? But that wouldn't necessarily put power on that pin, I should really just have an open on one of the other pins...

Not too sure how to proceed or what to check for next. It just baffles me because the Hondata worked flawlessly, as well as datalogging to my laptop...

my guess is when you checked CN2 your ground probe wasn't grounded.
only one of the connections should have 5V on it, one has ground and two have a TTL signal (0-5V digital signal)
if you have 5V on all of them, you're meter is screwed, your connection to ground is screwed or your ECU is screwed.

My probe was definitely grounded.

Meter isn't screwed, works great.

Guess I should start looking for a new ECU. Frigg.

if you want to get rid of this one let me know, I'd like a crack at repairing it. (I like challenges)

I work at a Motorola Service Center, so I may just have the tech here try & trace it out... Good idea though... Thanks!
