Default What can i use to wash/clean my engine harness?

hey guys im doing a motor swap and my main engine harness is covered in oil in certain spots, and is just dirty, what can i use to wash it and clean it up? The harness wont be goin onto the car for bout 3 weeks, so i was thinkin water and letting it air dry? but not sure if thats bad for the connections seeing as they could rust?

Or should i just re-loom the whole damn thing?

Thanks for your help!

Use some simple green dilluted with water and a kitchen scrubbing pad on the rough side.

what about gettin water on the connections? i have the harness out of the car completely, do i need to cover every connector? or is it ok to get water in there? ill air blow it dry, and it wont be in the car for 2+ weeks so it should all dry by then?

Only thing I would suggest is a little dielectric grease in the connectors to prevent any corrosion but honestly if you just let it air dry it shouldnt be any problem.

i wouldnt use water, it doesnt dry out like you would hope sometimes, ive seen cars come in with washed engine bays and the **** hits the fan, electrics malfunction all over the show, use a rag with some WD40 it works well with electrics plus it makes it bling
