Default Idle / Surging problem 92 accord

ok I've been having an idle problem, I have a 92 accord 2.2L SOHC manual Trans. and the idle will go from 1100 rpm to 1700 rpm back and forth and won't stop. I have replaced the PCV valve and the TPS sensor and the car still does the same thing. Can anyone help??

Possible vacuum leak like what nwf_snake stated.

IACV, FITV, FIV - clean and/or adjust all of those and try adjusting the idle.

Flush your radiator and change coolant.

I also just figured out the code on my check engine light it reads 43 and the car is still surging. would a bad O2 sensor make my car surge?

Not sure if the 02 sensor will cause surging, but you will need to replace it regardless.
9 times out of 10 surging is caused by a leaking/bad Fast Idle Control Valve (or just low coolant/air in the cooling system), but it might be as simple as a vacuum leak...

when you open the top of the FITV [Fast Idle THERMAL Valve] there is a nylon "split" screw with a brass cone sticking up thru the center. Turn that split screw down a few turns.
Also be sure the coolant is full and the bock burped thru the 12mm bleed screw at the T-stat housing.

Did you ever solve this issue? I’m having the EXACT same problem with mine, and engine light is reading code 43 as well.

This phenomenon is called "hunting"; and it's source is most often the IACV—kudos for focusing your efforts there. Despite the fact that you cleaned it, I believe the thing may still be the source of your problem. They do fail.

A new IACV is not a cheap; additionally, the Honda ECU sometimes doesn't play well with an aftermarket IACV. That said, I propose you purchase an aftermarket IACV from your local parts store who offers a full return policy, install it, and see if the hunting problem disappears (Note: The hunting phenomenon may be replaced by a brief surge to high-idle before idle backs down and normalizes).

If you find success with a new aftermarket IACV, you can deliberate keeping it in your car, or returning it and purchasing either a new or used genuine Honda IACV for the peace of mind it provides.

"engine light is reading code 43"..?

Hook up a DTC read and post the actual P-code, if any, that is stored.
