i got a '96 ej6 and the side moldings, door handles, mirrors, side skirts, rear licence plate platic thing (goes around the l.p. frame) are the same clolor as the car?? i dont know if its a cx or a dx?? kinda like the eg si!! it doesnt have any black abs plastic on it. i think its from Honda of canada.... all the other dx's n cx's ive seen have the black plastics on it?? does any body have this too?? or some one help me??!!

 

I believe it's a DX? I know most of the DX's that I have seen didn't have color-matched side moldings.

Does it have daytime running lights? Is the cluster in miles or kilometers?

As far as US hatch models, if it has a rear wiper, it's a DX. If it doesn't, it's a CX.

DXes also have a longer, metal, painted spoiler instead of the unpainted stubby plastic spoiler the CX has. CXes don't come with the cargo cover either.

yeah i its a dx then, it doesn't have daytime running lights, n it has an ex cluster.... n it does have a rear wiper and stock spoiler, and cargo cover. its prolly juss color matched i guess?? .... i dont have any pics of it and i dont know how to post them up?!! thanks!!

I'm curious on what made you think it was a DX since he didn't list anything that only a DX has.

The previous owner got the body pieces painted to match the car. Your hatch is most likely a DX.

 

Yeah the previous owner probably had them painted.

If it was a 2000, I was going to entertain your idea of it being from Canada...because I have a "special edition" dx hatch, and it has all those items painted from the factory like the EX coupe.
