Default Kill Swith for CRX. Need to pass tech.

Since the battery has now been relocated to the back, I need to wire up a kill switch for the CRX. From searching, I now understand that the alternator will still run the car if not hooked up on the battery side of the kill switch. To effectively kill the car, which of these two alternator wires need to be hooked up directly to the battery so that the alternator properly charges the battery and can be disabled when switched off. Is it the one in the fuse box or the blk/yel wire on the alternator harness? If its the one in the fuse box, do I just unbolt it from the fuse box, extended the wire and connect it to battery? OR... Do I need to loop it back to the fuse box, so basically the kill switch just interrupts the circuit?

Left wire is to battery and right wire is to alternator (do I use this?)

4-wire harness to alternator. Cut blk/yel wire and connect to battery?

you dont need to mess with the harness, just all of the large supply wires.

sides of switch: 1 and 2

side 1 battery and alternator
side 2 starter and wire to fuse box where alternator went to. and any other power needed.

many threads on this. look around there are pics.

i have to do this as well, all that i was going to do was cut/solder/extend the alternator wire from the fuse box to the battery side of the switch, no need to mess with the harness as stated

Okay got it. So just unbolt the wire from the fuse box, extend it and connect directly to battery side of the switch. I have the other side of the kill switch going to a distribution block to the engine bay which powers up the starter and the under hood fuse box (left wire) but you're saying to move the wire on the left to where the alternator wire used to be?

a cleaner but slightly more complex method would be to use a solenoid that is meant for continuous power.

Can you explain or show a diagram of this? I'm always up for a cleaner way.

I used a Painless solenoid and wired a switch to the back of the car.

Here is a diagram
