Default Swapping my motor at home, I have questions.

I am pulling my original motor out and putting in a new rebuilt one (same 91 Si motor, just all new bits). I've been present and hands-on for a few swaps but this is my first time doing it at home, pretty much solo with the occasional hand from my wife.

I have gotten down to the last few things before I need to strap it to the hoist, but I dont know what's best to do about some things:

1.) for the AC compressor, should I remove the compressor from the bracket or the bracket from the block with the compressor on it?

2.) for the main wiring harness that has the resistor, injector wiring, and the plugs on the passengers side shock tower, should it all come out with the engine, or should I disconnect it and try to keep it in the car?

3.) My 91 hood doesnt open as wide as an 88 hood does (one of those little differences in model years). Do I need to take the hood off to use a hoist?

I'll probably have more questions as I go, thanks in advance.

1. it would probably be easier to take the comp off the mount and move it out of the way than switch the bracket to the new engine.

2. take the engine out with the harness on it

3. takin off the hood is easier
