If you have the correct mounts you don't have to remove the ac. I have a 91 crx with a jdm b16a swap with the ac intact. you will have to move the compressor to get the motor in and watch out for the ac lines. just drop the motor in an angle that helped me out quite a bit then just get the efac bracket from hasport to use the ac worked for me.

You should be able to retain the a/c in your car as i did. I 1st tried the hasport a/c bracket but it didn't fit my model of compressor, so i returned it and had a custom bracket made for $40. When i swapped engines, i left the compressor all connected to the lines but out of the way of the engine itself, then reconnected it once the B18 block was in.
