how to start car without clutch...
Is there anyway that i can start my car without my clutch...i know i have to pull/override something from my ECU...cause my buddies with there Eclipses have it done.....and they dont know how to do it with acura/honda..any help here??
u can actually..from stop...put the car on second gear and step on clutch and have couple of ur friends push the car, when the car is rolling like about 5 mph, pull the clutch and the car should start...lemme know if this helps because i have tried this many times and it works...the only problem this will not work is if u dont have a clutch at all...
I had a previous car that I could do this with. One day, you will leave it in gear and scare the shht out of yourself when you are half asleep.
exactly, thats why alot of places wont do them for manual cars. . . . there have been a few accidents reported for this . . . i was gonna do it, but then decided against it .
there is a little pinswitch on the clutch pedal assembly under the dash, disable it somehow and you can start without holding in the clutch.

You never turn the key in the process?

what he was asking about is starting the car w/o disengaging the clutch, i asuume for remote start... i wouldn't do it, it puts more strain on the starter assembly, etc. and of course the risk of starting it after you accidentally left it in gear (my parents and brother have a habit of leaving car in gear after turning it off
).
