u can actually..from stop...put the car on second gear and step on clutch and have couple of ur friends push the car, when the car is rolling like about 5 mph, pull the clutch and the car should start...lemme know if this helps because i have tried this many times and it works...the only problem this will not work is if u dont have a clutch at all...

you have to override the clutch switch , i know people who did this to get remote start to work on their cars

I had a previous car that I could do this with. One day, you will leave it in gear and scare the shht out of yourself when you are half asleep.

there is a little pinswitch on the clutch pedal assembly under the dash, disable it somehow and you can start without holding in the clutch.

I've done this before on a car with a dead battery, its easier if you push the car in revers, because of the gearing ratio.

You never turn the key in the process?

that is push starting the car, for use if the battery is dead or something. pushing the car (with the key in the on position) works the same as spinning the starter, when you get the car going and suddenly engage the clutch, the tranny will spin the flywheel and start the engine.

what he was asking about is starting the car w/o disengaging the clutch, i asuume for remote start... i wouldn't do it, it puts more strain on the starter assembly, etc. and of course the risk of starting it after you accidentally left it in gear (my parents and brother have a habit of leaving car in gear after turning it off ).
