do all hondas and acuras (1992-up) require the clutch pedal to be pushed in to start the car? will the car start without the clutch pedal pushed down?

Re: clutch interlock switch (deviant1)
i'm pretty sure all of them need to be pushed down to start the car.
i'd like to know if there is a way to trip the car to thinking the clutch is pressed, because i'm about to put in remote start on my car.

well on my civic, and two of my friends civics, you don't need to have the clutch in to start, but make sure its not in gear thats for sure.
also, i was borrowing a buddy's 84 subaru gl and that too, could be started without the clutch in.
