Default wheel well cover not attached

another question
it's been a week since i bought the 04 si
and has no problem driving around so far.
Then I just realized that my front (both) wheel well cover are not attached
im little concerned that since there is no wall between my engine room (which could let the water in in rainy weather).

how do you think of this problem??
do you guys all think i need to install them???
it is gonna cost me around 200 including labor...
