del sol
i want to get a del sol for my next car but i dont know much about them. the only thing i hear from other people is that a miata is a better car than a del sol. i want to get a del sol that has been swapped with a b16. i dont know much about them and the ones i have seen in pics look good but i have seen some stock ones on the road and they didnt look too good. a lot of the ones around chicago are riced out.
do drop and rims make a big difference on how those cars look? are they fun cars to drive and how do they handle.

IDK if the del sol is a better car than a miata, but if you get the right one i know it's faster.
you can buy a del sol and do a swap or buy one that already has a b16 from factory. Honda produced del sols with a b-series motor from 94-97. though rare, they are out there.
as for handling goes, they are alittle heavier than their siblings, but non the less handling is good. being that it's a eg chassis it shares the same suspension as the integra and civic.

unless that miata is has a rotary or an ls1 in it, it is in every aspect a worse decision. Lets start by saying that they are both "girly" cars. 1. The miata is by far more girly. 2. The miata is a rag top (sucks). 3. You are limited on mods unless you are loaded with cash, tools, and experience.
The Del sol is obviously a civic, and potential is basically endless, and so are your options. They are easier to work on, they are more reliable, they are better on fuel (unmodded), they are less expensive to fix and\or mod, you can ride in the sun or put the top on without feeling like you are in a tent (ragtops suck)

The del sol is a great machine. I own the 94 Del sol S which is the base model and comes with a d15b7 motor. If you want the del sol that has the b16 motor in it, than you are looking to find a Del sol VTEC model. Its a really fun car if you live in a warm area, the targa top is very easy to move and the car looks great when its lowered with some rims. Heres a picture of my sol and my friends 4dr.

i own a 94 del sol S just finished putting my LS.vtec in it.. and removing all the sound deading from the floor boards.. (sucks!) its alot quicker then the d15b7.. and fun.. even with the d15b7 it was still fun. there much MUCH better then the miata..
and plus.. it comes with the well knowen H on the front! they handle decent.. much like a 2 seater would be thought to. but i also have no powersteering.. so to me its alot more responsive.. there fun peppy cars.. and look great lowered and rims.. ide take a nother sol over a miata anyday.. wait i have 2 now..
